‘TILL DEATH DO US APART’ Groom Fulfills Promised Church Wedding But Never Made To Reception! A Heartbreaking Love Story!

Clark Fudolig, 18, met Millie Jane Tique, 23, in 2003. Inspite of her being 5 years his senior, they continued their relationship and they got married in a civil rite following her pregnancy in 2004.

After one month after being unioned by law, Clark had to cut the honeymoon short as he was called into duty and had to fly to the US to work as an Aircon Technician.

He would then visit his family every two years. On some ocassions, staying as long as possible (two to three months) to spend time with her wife and daughter. As for most of the time, they maintained communication online.

“Yumaman sa amin ang Globe. We know all the technology: Yahoo Mail, Yahoo Chat, Viber, Skype. When I go to coffee shops, I’d always look for Wi-Fi connections. We always communicated online,” Millie said.

During his stay in the US, Clark was diagnosed with Pancreatic Canter in 2014. Being aware of how if would affect his wife and daughter, he kept the disease to himself and went on until the disease had finally caught up with his health, he can’t afford not the tell them anymore of his situation.

Millie, after discovering his husband’s condition, immediately applied to get a visa for her and their 12-year-old daughter Cane Krissie only to be denied twice by the US Government.

Realizing he only have a limited time left to spent with her family and his promise to Millie for a church wedding, Clark settled to come back home regardless of his frail condition.

With no time to waste, Millie calmly and carefully organized her dream wedding. She bought an RTW (ready-to-wear) wedding gown in Divisoria, contacted the suppliers, talked to caterers, photographers and videographers, and informed them that her betterhalf of would be limited to wheelchair during the whole wedding observance.

There was even one point in time that she had considered of altering the wedding celebration into a funeral reception.

Wearing his blue barong, inspite of the pain and diffulty he’s experiencing, Clark garnered all the remaining strength his body has, managed to stand tall , smile and be proud to be in the wedding they had looked forward to since they began their journey in 2004.

Shortly right after exchanging their vows, Clark was rushed to the hospital where he succumbed to his disease, yet, finally finding peace knowing that he kept his promise to Millie until his last breath.
