The long wait is over for Sarah Lahbati and Richard Gutierrez fans. Finally, the couple who have been together for five years and have a son (Zion) are now officially engaged.
The couple announced their engagement on their Instagram account and during the premiere of the 5th season of their reality show “It Takes Gutz to be Gutierrez”
Sarah said on her Instagram post:
“The stars aligned in the universe and this happened. I’m marrying my best friend,”
Meanwhile, Richard shared a close-up photo showing the clear view of the diamond ring he gave to Sarah.
He said on his Instagram post:
“I love you and I can’t wait to start this new chapter of our lives together.”
Richard revealed that he proposed to Sarah in Switzerland and the video footage of the proposal will be shown on the second episode of the show.
Sarah shared that they they are still thinking of the themes and venues, they also have to set the date as well. She also mentioned that wedding may be held abroad.
“No, we dont have [a date yet] but we’re thinking about sort of where we’ll be and sort of the theme,” she told reporters. “I personally want somewhere cold and that’s it, that’s all I can say.”
Richard seems excited for this new chapter in his life with Sarah.
He said “We’ve been living our lives as a married couple and this really formalizes that. We’re considering it a new chapter, a fresh start, it’s always exciting,”
It was five years ago when Sarah left the Philippines for Switzerland “to study” and she returned in August 2013. It was later revealed that she left for Switzerland to give birth to her son (Zion) with Richard that May 2013.
It was in Switzerland where she took refuge when she was hiding her pregnancy and it is the same place where she and Richard got engaged.
Nevertheless, they are now in their journey to forever…
