Colon Cancer or Colorectal Cancer is develop from the colon or rectum which is part of the large intestine.

Most colon cancer cases are due to old age and lifestyle factors with only few numbers of cases due to underlying genetic disorders. Risk factors may include obesity, lack of physical activity, diet and smoking.

1. Charlie Davao (October 7, 1934 – August 8, 2010)

Veteran character actor Charlie Davao, the father of award-winning actor Ricky Davao, died of colon cancer at the Philippine General hospital at the age of 75. He joined showbiz in 1959 under Sampaguita Pictures and landed his first leading role as a Filipino James Bond in “Pitong Matahari.” In his later years, he continued to act in TV shows such as “Totoy Bato” (GMA-7), and “Mula sa Puso” (ABS-CBN).
2. Susan Fuentes (November 1, 1954 – September 7, 2013)

Susan Fuentes, or better known as the Queen of Visayan Songs for popularizing classics such as “Usahay,” “Matud Nila,” and “Miss Kita Kung Christmas,” died of colon cancer in 2013 at the age of 58. Fuentes achieved success for being able to make hits in different music markets ( Visayan, Tagalog, Hiligaynon, and Ilocano).

3. Maria Corazon “Cory” Cojuangco Aquino ( January 25, 1933 – August 1, 2009)
Former President Cory Aquino was a Filipina politician who served as the 11th President of the Philippines and the first woman to hold that office.

On March 24, 2008, Aquino’s family announced that the former President had been diagnosed with colorectal cancer.

By July 2009, Aquino was reported to be in very serious condition, suffering from loss of appetite, and was confined to the Makati Medical Center. It was later announced that Aquino and her family had decided to stop chemotherapy and other medical interventions for her.
Aquino died in the Makati Medical Center at 3:18 a.m. on August 1, 2009 due to cardiorespiratory arrest; she was 76. To provide people on Prevention-Awareness, here are the most common ignored symptoms of colon cancer as well as how to lessen the risk of its appearance in the very first place.

Doing regular exercise is also very important to keep a healthy weight , it also fights inflammation and clear toxins in our body.
